Using advanced attosecond spectroscopy, the team directly observed electron\u2013phonon dynamics beyond the traditional Born\u2013Oppenheimer approximation, revealing delays of up to tens of femtoseconds. This groundbreaking insight, achieved through a combination of ultrafast laser experiments and theoretical modeling, provides atomically resolved understanding of charge and energy transport in novel materials.
