In this study, the role of superactive nodes, which spread the innovation to their neighbors, was demonstrated based on the diffusion percolation model using the methods of statistical physics. The superactive nodes are verified to induce discontinuous phase transitions in two-dimensional lattice systems through analytic and numerical methods; they originate double transitions in complex networks.
