Undergraduate
- Major Declaration
a. Major Declaration Period: June 10th or December 10th
b. Major Declaration Procedure: Online application within the period as announced in the major declaration notice each semester. ※Through the Integrated Information System (ZEUS) under ‘Academics – Major Declaration’
c. Major Quota: Operated without a limit on the number of students per major, respecting the autonomy of major selection.
※ The Department of Physics and Photon Science holds an annual Physics Major Information Session to assist enrolled students with their physics major declaration and graduate career path choices.

- Graduation Requirements
a. Years of Study: 4 years
b. Maximum Enrollment Period: 6 years (excluding leave of absence)
c. Credits Required for Completion: At least 130 credits, with an overall GPA of 2.0/4.5 or higher for all completed courses.
d. Required Credits by Student ID Year
- Minor
a. Completion of a minor is recognized when a student earns at least 15 credits and fulfills the requirements specified for a particular minor field, in addition to their primary major.
b. Students must study for at least one regular semester after declaring a minor.
c. Required Credits for Physics Minor: At least 15 credits, including 3 courses from the major’s required courses.

- Double Major
a. Students must earn at least the minimum required credits for major acquisition by student ID year, including courses specifically designated for the double major field (including required major courses).
b. Students must study for at least two regular semesters after declaring a double major.
c. Available Fields: 7 main majors (Electrical & Computer Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Earth & Environmental Science, Life Sciences, Physics, Chemistry)
*For double major students only, dual counting of credits for identical courses (offered with double codes) and courses separately designated by each school/department is permitted for up to 9 credits towards both the major and double major.
- Advanced Major (Concentration)
a. Students must complete at least 12 additional credits beyond the maximum major credits (42 credits).
b. Application for an advanced major is only possible in the semester of expected graduation, along with the application for the thesis main defense.
c. Available Fields: 7 main majors (Electrical & Computer Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Earth & Environmental Science, Life Sciences, Physics, Chemistry)
d. Physics Major: Completion of at least 54 credits in major courses, including 8 required major courses and Classical Mechanics Practice 2 (PS2202), Mathematical Physics 2 (PS3206), and Physics Lab 2 (PS4204).
