□ 남창희 교수, ISUILS 2025에서 ISUILS 메달 수상
우리 학과 남창희 교수님께서 2025년 9월 15일부터 이탈리아 팔레르모대학에서 개최된 국제 초강력 초고속 레이저 과학 심포지엄 (ISUILS 2025, International Symposium on Ultrafast Intense Laser Science)에서 ISUILS 메달을 수상하셨습니다.
ISUILS 메달은 초강력 초고속 레이저 과학 분야에서 세계적인 연구 성과와 학문적 기여를 이룬 연구자에게 수여되는 권위 있는 상으로, 이번 학회 개막식에서는 남창희 교수님과 Gaetano Ferrante 교수의 학문적 업적을 기리는 헌정과 함께 시상식이 진행되었습니다.
이번 심포지엄은 노벨물리학상 수상자인 Pierre Agostini 교수를 비롯해 세계적인 석학들이 참여하는 자리로, 물리학, 화학, 생물학, 공학 등 다양한 분야의 연구자들이 모여 초강력 초고속 레이저 과학의 최전선과 미래를 논의했습니다.
학과 구성원 모두 함께 남창희 교수님의 수상을 진심으로 축하드리며, 앞으로도 더욱 큰 연구 성과와 활발한 활동을 기대합니다.
□ Prof. Chang Hee Nam Receives ISUILS Medal at ISUILS 2025
Prof. Chang Hee Nam of our department has been awarded the ISUILS Medal at the International Symposium on Ultrafast Intense Laser Science (ISUILS 2025), held at the University of Palermo, Italy, from September 15–19, 2025.
The ISUILS Medal is a prestigious award presented to researchers who have made outstanding contributions and global impact in the field of intense ultrafast laser science. At the opening ceremony of the symposium, a tribute to the academic careers of Prof. Chang Hee Nam and Prof. Gaetano Ferrante was given, followed by the awarding of the ISUILS Medals.
This year’s symposium featured Nobel Laureate in Physics 2023, Prof. Pierre Agostini, along with world-renowned scholars including Louis F. DiMauro and Kaoru Yamanouchi. The event brought together researchers across physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering to discuss the frontiers and future of intense ultrafast laser science.
We warmly congratulate Prof. Nam on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to his continued pioneering research and contributions to the field.
